Guidelines / Please Read Before Continuing

* YOU MAY BEGIN BUILDING YOUR SCARECROW AS SOON AS YOU REGISTER!
* Scarecrows need to be in place by OCTOBER 1st (weekend of September 28-29th preferred). Judging will take place the following week.
* Please remove your scarecrow on Friday, November 1st or as soon as possible thereafter. If your scarecrow is not removed by Sunday, November 3rd and/or the area is not cleaned up you may not be eligible to join Scarecrows Along Main in the future.
* Scarecrows must be properly secured, oriented toward the sidewalk and checked periodically for damage.
* The Old Wethersfield Shopkeepers Association is not responsible for any loss or damage.
* Please remember that this is a family-oriented event and design scarecrows accordingly.
* BUSINESSES PLEASE NOTE: You may NOT have direct advertising on your scarecrow. ANY DIRECT ADVERTISING WILL BE REMOVED. You may have subtle nods to your business (i.e.Your scarecrow might wear a hat or a shirt from your business). OWSA will install a sign next to your scarecrow with your business name.

Note: A location will be assigned after September 20th. We try to honor as many location requests as we can. You will be contacted via email with your location. Please be respectful of your host's property.
