What is Scarecrows Along Main?
Over 170 handmade scarecrows will be displayed on Main Street from October 1-31st! You are welcome to visit sunrise to sunset! We ask that all visitors please be respectful of the scarecrows and refrain from touching any exhibit that isn’t meant to be interactive.
What to Expect
Stroll Main Street and see all of the decorated scarecrows from our community! While you are in Old Wethersfield, do some shopping, visit a museum, grab some lunch, or enjoy a sweet treat! It’s a great way to spend a fall day with friends & family!
Where to Park
Parking is available along Main Street and many of the side streets throughout Old Wethersfield. Additional parking may be found at the Keeney Center lot, First Church, Cove Park, the Broad Street Green, Hanmer School, & the DMV. Be sure to observe all posted parking rules and “No Parking” signs.
Coming with a large group or with a bus?

Register a Scarecrow
Show off your creativity and join the fun by designing a scarecrow to display in Old Wethersfield. This event is open to everyone — families, youth groups, local businesses, and community organizations.
Participation is free for individuals, families, groups, and OWSA businesses/community sponsors.

Non-OWSA Businesses are also welcome to join for a small participation donation of $50.
